Herman PFC funds and runs a range of programs that support students, staff, and families at Herman Intermediate School and AdVENTURE STEM. Here is where your support goes.

Annual Direct Donation Drive

The Direct Donation Drive is Herman PFC’s primary annual fundraiser and the foundation of our operating budget. Funds raised through the drive support student rewards, staff appreciation, classroom and library resources, and family events for both the Herman Intermediate School and AdVENTURE STEM communities.

After School Sports Program

Herman Intermediate School and AdVENTURE STEM offer an After School Sports program open to 7th and 8th grade students in good academic standing, with 6th graders eligible to join Cross Country and Track and Field. The program gives students a healthy, structured way to build teamwork, discipline, and school spirit alongside their classmates.

Charity Fair: Student-Led Community Giving

Charity Fair is a cross curricular service learning program at Herman Intermediate School and AdVENTURE STEM. Students research social problems, evaluate different charities and how each one uses its funds, and build a presentation to share what they learn. Using the engineering design process, students then design and craft a product to sell at the Charity Fair. After the event, the student body votes on which charity was most deserving, and every dollar collected is donated in full to the winning charity or charities.

Family and Spirit Events

PFC brings the Herman Intermediate School and AdVENTURE STEM communities together through Spirit Wear sales and restaurant fundraising nights, where teachers, staff, students, and families gather at a local restaurant for a meal, with a portion of the proceeds donated back to the school.

Student Rewards and Recognition

PFC funds regular recognition programs, including Student of the Month lunches, to celebrate the achievements and growth of students at Herman Intermediate School and AdVENTURE STEM. These programs give students visible, meaningful recognition from their school community and encourage continued effort throughout the year.

Staff and Teacher Appreciation

Herman PFC organizes Staff Appreciation events throughout the school year to thank the teachers and staff who support Herman Intermediate School and AdVENTURE STEM students every day.

Library and Classroom Resources

PFC funds library purchases and classroom materials that would not otherwise fit in the school’s budget. These resources directly enhance the education of all children at Herman Intermediate School and AdVENTURE STEM, from new library books to supplies that support classroom instruction and student enrichment.

Department Grants and Special Projects

Each year, PFC provides grants to various departments at Herman Intermediate School and AdVENTURE STEM to fund special projects, classroom needs, and school tools, including a portion of the cost of the shared Herman and AdVENTURE STEM SchoolLoop account.
